Extension to detached house

The original house contained a series of small poorly laid out rooms to the rear which did not relate well to the rear garden. We opened up these spaces and formed an extension to the rear in order to form a large open plan kitchen dining living space with access and views to the garden. Exposed steel beams carry the existing roof in place of the original internal walls.
